Which came first: industry exodus or young people’s flight from Ohio?
Ohio is the seventh most populous state in the country, but that population is expected to grow by less than 1% over the next 30 years. With the workforce challenges Ohio is facing relative to its population, JA is uniquely positioned to help young people discover why they should stay in the Buckeye state to build a career.
In addition to JA Virtual Inspire and the soon-to-launch JA Inspire to Hire, JA of NCO recently added Molly Shaw to our growing team. Molly’s primary focus is bringing students and employers together.
As our Special Projects Manager of Workforce Initiatives, Molly is working closely with schools and organizations to connect young people’s dreams with the fast-growing, competitive-wage jobs in Ohio’s booming industries through initiatives like JA Inspire (virtual and regional in-person events) - and more!
Interested in how you can partner with JA to keep young talent local and attract more opportunities to Ohio? Let’s work together! Contact Lori McCleese start the conversation!
